Sunday Morning Thoughts!

President Nelson gave an amazing talk the last general conference  about mountains we  climb in our lives. We all have mountains so big and some small. Some mountains we can overcome some we just make it to he top so we c an see other mountains. Ihave re read this talk about 10 times. It partains to our day. The mountains we have. The   mountains I have

Wow time has passed

It's Sunday morning. Ican't believe os much time has passed. This last year has felt like eblur. The kids styed home this year with COvid restrictions. Blake  and I tried to home  school one semester. he was happy to go back to school and  loved his teacher Mrs. Yackey! He criedwhen the  schoolyear was over. Ienjoyed having him at home. Phil went back to Loveland rFord but now has a new  job in Longmont. He has beenworking hard for our family. Landon  continued to work at Wlamart and got his mission call to Newport beachCalifornia. He leaves  in September. Taylor played bballand did  diving fro Windsor. he also built his  own computer and likes to game. ihave been teaching piano like a crazy person and started exercising again. I have tried  to let go of many social things and be at home.

We  finally got to go to church. It was only an hour at first but now it is  2 hours. i  am happy to be  back in Primary. playing the piano  and being with the kids. I  feel like  many  things in the world  are changing. President Biden waselected President after a grueling election against Donald trump. Trump  did his best but sometimes evil and conspiring men have ways of manipulating the public. Great Grandma OUida moved  in  with my mom and  da. It has really been hard on them. Ihave tried to help a  little but franklyshe  needs to be in a home where she  can talk to people all day long. Iamnot sure how much longer my parents can  hang on.

ilove my husband. It's been a very hard  alst few months. No matter what happensIlove  him and have been sohappy  with the life  we  have  created. Ifeelso blessedto lives here inWindsor and have 3wonderful boys and the church closeby. Ihave  my health. Ihave friends.

Spring Sunday 2021

Sunday thoughts. Spring is here. We went down to Colorado Springs for Easter. We went to cave of the winds. Phil  worked so  it was just me and the boys. We had a great time but were happy to come home. So much has happened the past few months. Blake went back to school  in January. We had a great couple months but it was time. It was harder on me because I actually liked homeschooling him. He said  he  loves school and that I was a horrible teacher. LOL. He is playing soccer right now and was on 2 basketball teams this year. it was a little much be  he  likes it. he has  grown tall and is almost as tall as  his  teacher Mrs. Yackey.

Taylor has had a great year also. he played  basketball in the winter. They had to wear masks but at least they got to play. He is  diving right now and is atypical MS. student. He graduates from 8th soon  and will be a HS. He  has had  a great friend group and we  are very proud of the sweet person he has turned  out to be. He is president of  his teachers quorum and he  sis very kind to everyone. I am hoping he has a great HS experience but this year  has really been a good  one for him.

Landon has had an interesting year also. he has been working at Walmart but was hit by a  cop car head on  February 18. His wrist was broken and he blacked out. for the impact and  crash he was  lucky to not have been hurt worse. The cop was chasing a speeder going th opposite  direction and didn't see  Landon'scar in the rear view mirror. He was  on his way to institute. I showed up to the crash scene and  it was something out of a movie. There were ambulances and the street was blocked off. He was  sitting in a cop car. They let me walk to him. he was shakey but ok. We left and then went to Urgent care the following day.  He hasn't been  able to work at Walmart fro a few months but has been coaching Soccer for WCA HS boys. They  have loved having him as their coach and  want him to come back next year. He will probably be gone but never know.

Phil has been  busy  also the last few months. He left Loveland Ford  and is now working at Frontline Auto in Longmont. He  seems to like it much better. He has gotten into disc golf and lost 20 pounds. He   has a lot of dedication and strength. I'm excited fro him to rest a little more but that's how life is. We are kind of counting down  the months being with Landon. We were finally able to go back to church and started  primary for the kids. I've been teaching piano and juggling soccer and  having 1 less car and Landon needing a car. I've tried  to get back  into  working out but need to be more serious to see some real  results. I've been working on my ADD and anxiety trying to keep  those under control. Not being successful sometimes but some days are good.

I'm  excited  about piano  recitals this year because  kids haven't been able to perform or share  for 2 years. We lost the church keys sothat has been a stresser. And they asked me to helpwith girls camp this year. It will  be a different experience but fun also.

It was  nice to listen to General Conference Easter  weekend and I  am  really interested in what our prophets and  apostles have to say and know Heaven;y Father is watching from afar with the pandemic etc. . I have dwelt with depression severly the last 2 months and  am hoping to find a way to move on from it. It has been hard on Phil also. I hope  we  will be ok. Anyway happy Sunday

Hobby Lobby

It's  Sunday November 14. Things are starting to get bad again.  Shutting down.People are afraid of another shutdown. Our count shut church down due to the cases in COBID 19. I have to say I am teary eyed about it. i was really looking forward to church today. I need to keep myself positive. We ended up doing Home church and come follow me. We went to the park and over to Grandmas and played some uno. Landon went to the singles ward. I am grateful for Sundays together. Phil seems tired and worn out. Everyone is kindof hypermode right now due to not knowing. Anyway it is a beautiful day outside for fall and cold. I love it!!!!

I miss church

I never though I would say it but I miss church! i miss hearing everyone's testomonies! I miss listening to the music and singing. I miss the primary! i hope we can start up again again soon!

Religious Freedom

Never again will we be told we cannot meet to worship. Never again will we be told what and what is not essential in America. What stores can stay open and what stores need to close. Never again will we be forced to only shop at grocery stores and Walmart for  essentials while other clothing stores suffer. Restaurants have been closed for months, extra curicular activities and anything has been closed. Parks and open land have been closed. Fines for playing at the park with children? What has America come to? The land of the free and home of the brave. We need to be this now! Forced to wear a mask in public when cloth masks do not help stop the spread of COVID 19. like a sheep following to the slaughter we go as Amercians to give up our essential freedoms. People have turned against one another and trust has been broken/. We are afraind of catching COVIS 19 even though . 5 percetn die over 65years old! children have been banned from playing with one another. Schools are struggling to figure out what to do in the classroom. 6 feet apart! STOP the MADNESS! We are creating walls and boundaries that are going to take years to come down. Sudden;y Democarts and Republicans share a word. HATE. hating on both sides without any sense of compromise or unity. This is not what the founding fathers wanted. This isn't the Amercia they envisioned. Where is America? Where are the Americans? Where have they gone? forsaken teir freedoms, afraid to be human. De sensitizing people day after day forcing laws upon us like we are obediant children. Finally we are opening up. Businesses have suffered. People are suffereing. Suicide rates and anxiety are up 100%.

landon patriarchal blessing

We went and got Landons patriarcah blessing a couple of weeks ago from Patriach Despain. He has lived in Windsor fro 50 years. It was hot and a small room. We had to wear masks but the prayer was beautiful. I'm so happy and proud of Landon. his blessing talked about his blessings and future and to serve a mission, to read the proclamation of the family,  to get an education. he was asked about his talents and that they could be used for good and evil. Such a powerful prayer and statement. Love you buddy! Oh the places you will go and the things you will do!

Landon Graduation

Landon graduated! MAY 2020! Woot! Woot! I never thought this year would come! He graduated WCA and from seminary!Due to the COVID shutdown we had a small graduation. Only parents and a few staff were there. He walked across the stage and got his diploma. We were allowed to take off masks for the picture but then put them on again. That night some parents organized a drive by  parade with all the seniors and parents. We honked the horn and had a lot of fun. Then they met back at the park and threw their hats off and cheered! We had to do that in secret but so fun! Landon got the Athletic Award. He a lot got this patriarchal blessing last week. So it's been a big month for him. We are having a drive by graduation party tomorrow and then we are done. We are very proud of Landon and all he has accomplished. He has done awesome. I am still amazed that he is done. His plan is to work for a year and then go on his mission. He got a job at Walmart and is doing great! Many people have helped him get to this point in his life. His teachers and others.

COVID 19

Never in my life did I ever think I would live to see atime likethis. Schoolsa re closed. Businesses are shut down accpet for non essential places. People are scared and everyone wears masks in public. We are home. COVID 19 has been the most mis handled pandemic in history. It came from China nd there has been so misinformation regarding it. I 'm not sure whether to scream, cry, laugh etc. Everyday I wake up with emotions I can't seem to shake. You wouuld think we would get alot done at home and yew we have. It's been great to not have to be somewhere and not have an activity to go to. I have enjoyed cleaning the house and not being interrupted and playing the piano and finishing a song. It's been fabulous to get organized and to just be at home. Why can;t i seem to do that when things wre open? It might be more of a mindset then anything else. I have relaxed some days and am trying to create and figure somethings ou.t Not many want piano lessons online so I needs to advertise some more. But as the days go byI fear our economy will suffer. This is the day we waited for. When prices drop. Or is it? Housing is still high which ischocking to me. Hopefully that changeds in the near future. What goes up mush come down. It reminds me o Las Vegas and the recession but orse. The fear and reaction of people to other people blows me away. we have crssed the line. Is it even Amercian to hide behind a bush in our homes. That's not the American way. We have not been a people who hide throughut history. Our President is doing a great job. Who would have though that Donald trump would become President of the United States and have to deal with this issue. Probably the hardest thing a President has had to do. I hope he gets reallected.  The DEocrats have really crossed the line this time. So many wicked and deceitful people.
We have Gerenral Conference a couple of weeks ago and it was aeseom. I guess I was expecting JEsus to come from the sky with the way they had talked up the ocnference. So I was a little disappointed LOL The music wwas all reruns and I was a little letdown. But there were some amazing talks and I am listening to it again so I can cathc a glimpse of what we need to take from it. Mostly having more faith. Faith that busniesses and life can return to normal. I need to have more faith in my personal future and my purpose. I have struggled to know just what that is and where to put my efforts. Mostly I have just focused on the boys and music. Maybe that's ok. I have ah ard time thinking I need to give music up so maybe I don't but I need to makeit owrth it to.

landon graduates form High School next month. A littletear trickles down my face as I see that his time has come to an end and this precious time is now over. I'm am little sad and happy at the same time. What a wonderful boy he is and what a monumentous accomplishment he has done. i am not sure if he feels so much emotion as I do. Harder for me also. I remember when he started kindergarten and the walks to school. the flag football in the oval, the smiles, the sports teams, chess club,  Middle school was harder he went to both Severance the then he Charter school. He had good friendsa nd it was small. High school has been hard. At least he was able to play sports of the HS teams and make some good friends. I'm so proud of his choices and even though we ahve had some tough things he seems happy. It's hard when your family changes and the schedules change and kids grow up. Sometimes you don't know how to change with them and what will happen. It's hard to say goodbye to the past. And then suddenly all the HS activites, parties, homecoming, stress with classes, seminary, church activities they are done. And you move on. Its a little hard. Ive shed some tears thinking about it. And yet Im so happy for him I just never thought I would be looking at my 18 year old manchild and remembering him. Tears of Joy

Fall has come and almost gone. Sometimes I feel like life is passing me by and I am just sitting watching it pass. Time passes. Kids get older and I m getting older. Suddenly you are not that young mom anymore. No one wants to fo to the park and no one wants to. Sad. I still love the park. Blake will go a little bit. O always thought I would have a daughter but I guess heavenly father had other plans. Now I'm too old. I'm happy to be in primary with the young kids. I look forward to hearing their voices and I live the songs. Today ita snowing. The first snow fall.  Winter will soon be here. I love our snug little house an hope this winter will be a good one. The winds of change are here. What will they bring this year? Happy faces difficult trials. Happy endings moments of learning.

Cloey

About 14 years ago we lived in Las Vegas and my neighbor knocked at my door wondering if we could keep a little black and white cat fro her. Just over night she said. She had 4 cats of her own and couldnt have any more. Phil was allergic but there was something about this cat that I couldn't pass up.Landon fell in love with her and we hid her for a couple days. Phil didn't seem tobe allergica anymore.

But finally it was outin the open. She was part of our family. Our family of 4. Soon to be family of 5 with Taylor being born. We named her Cloey. And what acat she had been. If ever a cat had nine lives it has been her. She has lept from a house onto Christians arms and van. She brought home many birds, rabbits mice over the years. She helped with each child and licked their head like they were her own. She was always a gentle cat. She has had a couple boyfriends over the years. I would leave her out all night inLas Vegas and she was lucky never got eaten.

We moved her to Colorado. She lived with Grandmaand Grnadpas for 4 years. She accidentally got smashed by the garage door. Grandpa thought she was arug. But it was a miracle she survived every major organ and had a complete recovery. Years have passed. We moved her out to Windsor and she loved it especially being outside. e live on main street but she has never been hit. But she did develop kidney failure and began having seizures. And now renal failure so her time is almost come.

she has been a wonderful cat and we will always love her and she isloved byt everyone. Mostly I will miss holding her at night after a long hard day. But I am hoping my Angel sister will watch her til we meet again! We have to decide to pt her down soo.n I know her time is short
 love you CLoey

piano piano piano. all things piano

Sometimes I have to write a fewthings about teaching piano. YEs I spend about 15 hours a week teaching piano maybe more. And although yes I like it and it really is satisfying to me to see students progress etc, I also can find the humor in teaching since I have been teaching many years.
Funny Experiences!

1. Blake age 3 running in the church naked. I had met a student over there. Taylor , landon and blake were playing bball and blake pooped his pants. So he stipped down and continued playing. We were chasing him around the church. I was hoping that no one saw him especially my student and before the parent arrived

2. Clayton Thurood hiding fro piano lessons at the church. His mom pulled up and they had and he jumped out and went and hid in the bushes. We were all looking for him. luckily now he is taking piano and hopefully moved on from his jumping stage.

3. Emersyn mcmillin hiding in the church pews. hshe didn''t want to praqctice so she hid in the pews until her lesson was ready. Ahh age 10 .

4. A student pounded on my piano and broke it. Yes I never told the parents but it wa a $1000 fix.

5. Special moments include the thank you note I get and how sweet they are from some amazing kids.

6. The day Mason told me piano day was his favorite day. That made my day.

7. Most of all I loved hearing students as they are prepared to  perform and share what they have learned with other people.

Anyway I am about to wrap up another year of piano and recitals. They are going to be awesome and i am excited for more fun adventures
